-Since April 2010 Thomas is a Ph.D. student in the [[http://cvpr.in.tum.de|Computer Vision Group]] headed by Daniel Cremers at the [[http://www.tum.de|Technische Universität München]]. For the academic year 2011/2012, Thomas is a visiting Ph.D. student at [[http://www.waseda.ac.jp|Waseda University]], Tokyo, in the group of [[http://www.f.waseda.jp/hfs/indexE.html|Hiroshi Ishikawa]]. He is interested in using graph theory and discrete optimization to solve computer vision problems. Thomas Windheuser studied Computer Science at the [[http://www.uni-bonn.de|University of Bonn]]. In 2004/2005 he stayed one year as an exchange student at [[http://www.keio.ac.jp|Keio University]], Tokyo. At the University of Bonn he was member of [[http://www.nimbro.net|Team NimbRo]] working on a football playing humanoid robot, winning the [[http://www.robocup.org/|Robocup]] twice (teensize humanoid league 2009/2010) and the [[http://www.tzi.de/humanoid/bin/view/Website/LVCup|Best Humanoid Award]] in 2010.
